About Our Translations

Every vocabulary theme is translated into over 100 languages — from widely spoken global languages to smaller heritage and community languages. We believe every language deserves representation in educational resources.

Translation quality varies by language based on available linguistic data. We use a tiered approach to help you understand what to expect:

Tier A — High Confidence

Widely spoken languages with strong linguistic data and well-established translation resources. These translations have the highest accuracy and are suitable for confident classroom use.

Examples: English, Spanish, French, German, Mandarin, Arabic, Hindi, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean

Tier B — Good Confidence

Languages with solid but less comprehensive linguistic data. Translations are reliable for most vocabulary and suitable for learning support, though occasional regional or dialectal variations may occur.

Examples: Swahili, Tagalog, Malay, Urdu, Amharic, Burmese, Hausa, Yoruba

Tier C — Emerging / Heritage Languages

Smaller heritage, indigenous, and community languages where linguistic data is more limited. These translations are provided as a starting point for cultural inclusion and should be reviewed by a community speaker where possible.

Examples: Tongan, Fijian, Tok Pisin, Dhivehi, Samoan, Marshallese, Chamorro

Translation Disclaimer

Translations are provided as learning support. While care has been taken, translations — particularly in lower-resource languages — may vary by region or dialect. These resources are not intended as certified language instruction. For formal language learning, teacher review is recommended.

Why We Include Heritage Languages

We are committed to linguistic equity — providing educational resources across both major world languages and small heritage communities. Cultural identity should never depend on population size. When a child sees their language included, they see themselves included.
