Fry Sight Words — 1,000 High-Frequency Words
The complete 1,000 Fry Sight Words organised into 10 sets of 100, following the original Fry word frequency order. These are the most commonly used words in English reading — mastering them gives children the foundation to read fluently.
Each set of 100 words is available as vocabulary cards in all formats: colour, black & white, 1-per-page, 2-per-page, and with dot-word tracing for handwriting practice.
Why Sight Words Matter
The first 100 Fry words make up approximately 50% of all written text. The first 300 account for about 65%. Teaching these high-frequency words to automaticity dramatically accelerates reading fluency and comprehension.
